What We Do at Utah Advance

Training
We partner with churches and other
agencies to train Christians, equip former Latter-day Saints, and prepare current and future church leaders.

Internships
We place ministry- and missions-minded people in environments to train them with attitudes and skills for cross-cultural ministry.

Writing
We produce workbooks, articles, videos, blog posts, and full-length books, to provide resources for individual and church ministry.

Networking
We co-sponsor regional events and venues to unite church planters and church leaders—such as the Church Planters Summit and church planter support networks.

Coaching
We give personal attention to church planters to help them stay on target to achieve a healthy church launch.

Speaking
We educate at churches, conferences, and seminars—including, in recent months, the Utah Church Planters Summit, the Ethnic Ministries Summit, and Kansai Bible College in Japan.

Consulting
We meet with pastors and church leadership teams to design effective ministries and solve ministry issues.

Areas of Focus
We currently have three main areas of focus at Utah Advance:

  • Develop strategies to share the good news of God’s grace in Jesus Christ that sound like good news to Latter-day Saints.
  • Equip members of churches to engage their LDS neighbors in ways that positively advance the message of the good news.
  • Assist churches with strategies for enfolding former Latter-day Saints into a healthy discipleship relationship with the local church.
